Meet Clark Creek Elementary STEM Academy’s principal, Ms. Joey Moss!  Ms. Moss is a Cherokee County native and proudly serves her community.  Ms. Moss began her teaching career with Cherokee County School District twenty years ago.  Her teaching experience includes ten years in the classroom at Woodstock Middle and Carmel Elementary, and ten years in leadership as a Teacher on Special Assignment for the District in the area of Professional Development, an Assistant Principal at Woodstock Middle and Principal at Boston Elementary. Ms. Moss earned her bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Kennesaw State University.  She has also obtained a master’s and specialist’s degrees in curriculum and instruction from Brenau University.  Additionally, Ms. Moss completed her leadership certification at her alma mater, Kennesaw State University.  Ms. Moss feels strongly that you should never stop learning!  She is looking forward to serving Clark Creek’s Red Hawk Nation!

Ms. Moss, along with her husband and two sons, are actively involved in the community. Ms. Moss enjoys spending time with her family and friends more than anything else.  She quotes that as Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”  Ms. Moss believes that as parents, faculty and staff, and students join together, trails will continue to be blazed!

Mrs. Casey has been an educator for 22 years. Since graduating from the College of Charleston, Mrs. Casey earned her Master’s Degree from Kennesaw State University and her Specialist from the University of West Georgia.  She also holds endorsements in ESOL, Gifted, and Coaching.  She has taught every grade level Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Mrs. Casey takes pride in being a curriculum specialist who was previously ILS at Hasty Elementary. Mrs. Casey enjoys spending time with her family, boating, traveling, kayaking, and anything outdoors.   

Mrs. Casey is honored to be a part of the Clark Creek community.  One of the most important aspects of education is building relationships.  She believes a positive committed partnership between students, teachers, and families is essential to student success and achievement. Her passion has been and always will be educating students.  She is excited to be a part of the Redhawk family! 

 

Assistant Principal, Mrs. Meredith Rocker

Meredith Rocker

Mrs. Rocker is a seven year educator who attended Cherokee County Schools before attending the University of Georgia to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Rocker also holds a Master's in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University. Prior to serving as assistant principal, Mrs. Rocker taught all grades, Kindergarten through Fifth. She most recently served as the Academic Facilitator at Clark Creek Elementary STEM Academy. When not in school, Mrs. Rocker enjoys going to watch her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves, spending time with family, and going on adventures with her husband and their dog. 

Mrs. Rocker is excited to continue her journey with RedHawk Nation. She is honored to promote rigorous and relevant learning experiences for students at Clark Creek. She believes that education is the important career as it empowers the future generation to be successful. 

 

Assistant Principal, Mrs. Clatrina Lane

Clatrina Lane

Mrs. Lane has been an educator for 23 years. She graduated from Norfolk State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She earned her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and her specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. Mrs. Lane previously served as a first grade through fourth grade teacher. In addition to this, she has served as a reading and math interventionist, grade-level lead, school behavior coach, MTSS administrator, and school improvement literacy coach. She also holds endorsements in ESOL and Reading.  

Mrs. Lane enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She grew up with seven sisters and one brother. Mrs. Lane has two children, Korbin and Madison, and has been married for 27 years. She loves hiking, movies, and traveling.  

Mrs. Lane is honored to serve the Clark Creek Community. She is an avid educator who believes in educating the whole child. One of Mrs. Lane’s favorite quotes is, “In a world where you can be anything….be kind.”
